This painting represent an inside scene. A woman embroiders in his house. Foreground one see on the table cups and a coffe-pot; middle distance the woman sews; one see accesories chair curtains paintings on the wall. Background one feel garden through the window. 

The floor begins by yellow orange and finishs by green nuances. Chair is very vivid yellow, walls rather pink curtains green and pink. The woman is more darkness (contrast with several colours).

The principal colour the most used is pink. After is green. The colours are pure or slightly motley but she's imaginary lightness and enjoy.

The woman is absorbed by his work. There is  alots of details and it's very realist.

One feel enjoy : the mother or grandmother sews for his children; it's kind of her. There's no untidy; every thing on his place. This lady sews in silence with calm she's alone. Garden is almost silencer.

Maurice Marinot was perhaps the husband and wanted to paint his wife.
